To the best of our knowledge, this puppy is in good health at the time of delivery. The buyer has three (5) business days to have the puppy examined by their licensed Veterinarian. If, after examination, the puppy is determined unsound, it can be returned for another puppy of equal value, when one becomes available. A letter from the examining licensed Veterinarian, stating the qualifying defect, must accompany the return. No money is refunded.

This contract is void should the buyer, after acquiring or possessing the puppy, any failure to have the puppy examined within a three (5) business day period. The breeder will not replace a puppy for any reason, but not limited to allergy, mortality, landlord’s disapproval, disagreement of family, or any other problems or circumstance, not related to health, especially ear cropping. We do not offer ear cropping. Nor will any puppy be replaced for illness caused by neglect, evidence of abuse, exposure to weather, injury, choking, poisoning, etc.

No warranty or guarantee is made to the disposition, lifespan, color, show quality, or breeding quality of any puppy. The breeder will not be liable for any expense, including but not limited to, any veterinary bills, the shipment of a replacement puppy, or other expenses. Should a licensed Veterinarian diagnose the puppy with a life-threatening genetic defect, having been there from birth, the breeder will replace the puppy, limited to 3 months from the date of birth. The buyer has the option to return the puppy with the genetic defect and must have documentation of the genetic defect to receive a replacement puppy when one becomes available. The buyer must contact the breeder immediately upon the discovery of any genetic defect. Any delay in doing so, voids this guarantee.

The breeder also reserves the right to have the puppy examined by his or her veterinarian before he/she agrees to replace the puppy in question. This guarantee is null and void if the buyer fails to maintain annual examinations with a qualified Veterinarian. This guarantee is non-transferrable. Proof of examination or records must be furnished upon request of the breeder. Vaccination schedules must be no less than three weeks apart and no more than four weeks apart for a series of four. Rabies vaccines and heartworm prevention cannot be administered before 16 weeks of age. If you allow your Veterinarian to do any of these procedures too early, your guarantee is void. Furthermore, any dog that has sired or whelped one or more puppies is no longer covered under this guarantee.

No guarantee is given for any kind of worm, coccidiosis, kennel cough, or giardia. Parasites are common and can be contracted from your water, soil, or boarding facility; and they are treatable. Your puppy will be provided with its first immunization and worming prior to you assuming possession. It is the buyer’s responsibility to continue to worm their puppy and check for parasites. No guarantee is given for hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). This condition is not hereditary and is very preventable. Bug bites retained testicles, and hernias are excluded from this health guarantee. If retained testicles or a hernia is evident, before the buyer acquires the puppy, it will be sold on limited registration, only as a pet, and should not be bred. If a puppy is sold with limited registration, no registration papers with any registry (AKC, CKC, etc.) will be given until proof of spaying or neutering of the puppy is provided by a licensed veterinarian.

No replacement puppy will, at any time, be made on a deceased puppy, until a necropsy is performed to determine a cause of death. The necropsy must be performed by an accredited institution, such as The University of North Carolina State or The University of Tennessee. Necropsies performed by a local Veterinarian will not be accepted. The necropsy report must accompany any request for a replacement. Schnese puppies will not be registered.

If a buyer would like to secure a puppy, a minimum non-refundable deposit of $400.00 will be accepted any time prior to the dame’s whelping. The balance owed will have a due date equal to the puppy’s 7th week of life. Payment arrangements can be made through the breeder, with agreeable terms, and can be set forth and modified per individual case. In any event, a minimum of $400.00 is required to initiate a payment arrangement, and under no circumstance will this amount be refunded to the purchaser. The total purchase price of the puppy must be paid to the breeder before releasing the puppy to the buyer.
If the total purchase price is not paid by the puppy's 7th week of life, no refund of any payments shall be given, as it is with good intent the buyers plan to purchase the puppy.

All legal disputes are to be settled in the county and state of the breeder’s residency. If, for any reason, the buyer cannot keep the puppy, please contact the breeder to help place the puppy into another home, and do not surrender the puppy to a shelter.
